sir, the commemoration of the victory against the nazis in russian capital of moscow , to which india's prime minister was also a special invitee should be taken in the right spirit, keeping in mind the russian aspirations in the world stage now. the time when india contributed its manpower in the form of soldeirs was a political decision taken by the congress leaders to attain independence, and any way the soldiers fought the war in the name of great britain and not in the name of india. and i do not know what was the reason now to invite india's prime minister to the commemorative ceremony in moscow. is it because that india is and has been a long time ally of russia or is it to acknowledge india's emergence as a local power (atleast) with in asia or is it to show to the world that the fight against the terrorism which has been plauging almost all those nations that fought the world war II . i feel this should be taken with respect to the contemporary realilty on the ground. n aravind rajesh 19, gopal pillaiyar koil street, first floor, tiruvannamalai-606601 www.xanga.com/aravindrajesh spaces.msn.com/members/aravindrajesh
