The issue of rotating cheifministership has a fairly long history in Indian politics. It was tested in Uttar Pradesh and that also involved Bharatiya Janatha Party and now at Karnataka too it involves the same party. For a party that is being said to be a hard-line one, the history of accommodating many types of coalition partners was done by the same party. I do not know which version to believe in this.
